One Shot Foundation Speaks at Sports Medicine Emergencies Conference

The Matthew Mangine Jr. “One Shot” Foundation was honored to participate in the 4th Annual Sports Medicine Emergencies Conference at the University of Cincinnati, where athletic trainers, physicians, EMS professionals, and sports medicine leaders gathered to advance emergency preparedness in athletics. During the conference, Foundation representatives shared Matthew’s story and highlighted the lifesaving mission behind Take 10, emphasizing the importance of recognizing sudden cardiac arrest, responding immediately with Hands-Only CPR, and using an AED without hesitation.

By connecting with healthcare professionals from across the region, the Foundation continues to expand awareness and strengthen partnerships dedicated to protecting student-athletes. Opportunities like the Sports Medicine Emergencies Conference help reinforce a shared commitment to ensuring that every coach, trainer, educator, and responder is prepared to act when every second counts.
