The One Shot Foundation team recently visited Saint Thomas School in Ft. Thomas, Ky. to place an AED in the building and speak with students about how to use it in a cardiac emergency. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere and to anyone, regardless of age. Having an AED easily accessible is critical. So is having individuals who know where it is and know how easy it is to use – through voice prompts, the device walks you through exactly what to do.
We thank St. Thomas School Resource Officer Deputy Hampton, Principal Mrs. Huser, and Student Council for their safety-focused efforts and for working to make sure all students and staff know where the new AED is located. We’re also grateful to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels for the generous funding that made this donation possible
